Chocolate-covered pretzels in the form of an M&M?!  Yes, please! :)

Coming in at only 150 calories per serving, these make a not-so-bad for you snack satisfying those salty sweet cravings.

I recently sent a pack of these with a little note to a good friend who was having a bad week.  Hope they cheered her up!

Happy Friday and have a great weekend! :)

Favorite Things Friday #6 & White Chocolate Cherry Almond Cookies

Happy Friday!

Any chocolate lovers out there?...

One of my favorite things is chocolate especially white chocolate or any chocolate where caramel is involved! :)

It just so happens that the cookies I made for the Pinterest Party last weekend included white chocolate...and cherries and almonds!  Yum :)

Chewy and fruity...just right for the holidays!

The recipe I followed for these White Chocolate Cherry Almond Cookies can be found here or on my Food pin board.

The recipe makes 72 cookies!  I made a half batch and that was plenty to go around.  You could make the full batch and give them away in little gift boxes.

If you love white chocolate, you might also like these Pumpkin White Chocolate Chip Cupcakes,

or these Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti dipped in white chocolate!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Enjoy :)

Favorite Things Friday #5

Did anyone watch The Sound of Music last night?!  I have it recorded because I wanted to get some blogging done but I'll be sure to watch it the first chance I get!  I loved the original movie as a child and what is there not to love about Carrie Underwood?!  Should be a great show...

~

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

~

On to one of my favorite things...Perrier sparkling water!

When you drink as much water as I do, you need something a little different every now and then.  I love Perrier's unique effervescence...elegant, sparkling, and refreshing!  Sometimes it's the highlight of my afternoon.  It's fun to add a splash of fruit juice like pineapple or orange to give it a little zing of flavor.  A squeeze of lime is nice, too.

Happy Friday!

Favorite Things Friday #4

Happy Friday y'all!

One of my favorite things is Fage 0% Greek Yogurt!

It's so versatile.  And I'm mean hello, it's fat free, protein rich, a good source of calcium, gluten free, and low in calories!  It's approved for diabetics and vegetarians alike.

I almost always have a few of the 6oz containers on hand.  I usually use about half of the container at a time and save the rest in the refrigerator.

I most commonly use Fage 0% Greek Yogurt in the morning layering it with Fiber One, berries, and a drizzle of honey.

However, I also use it as a substitute for sour cream on occasion...

or in place of whipped cream...

or in this Peanut Butter Honey Yogurt Dip on top of a rice cake!

I even used it in these Healthy Blueberry Muffins!

Pick up some Fage 0% Greek Yogurt for yourself at your local grocery and enjoy its variety of uses!

It also comes in a multitude of other flavors besides plain.

Favorite Things Friday #3

First of all...TGoodnessIF!

In honor of National Honey Month (September), I had to give tribute to one of my all time favorite toppings...honey!  From my blog name, you could have probably guessed that I LOVE HONEY!  Ever since I was little, I have put it on everything from dinner rolls to cereal to french fries!  And don't even get me started on cornbread and honey...anyone with me?

For my birthday this summer, a friend of mine got me this awesome mug with blueberry tea and Greek honey!  How perfect!

Here is an article you might have seen posted on my Facebook page about the benefits of honey.  The author claims that honey works as good as cough syrup!  It can also heal wounds, increase your antioxidant levels, and may lower your cholesterol!  Not to mention it tastes amazing!  I'll take it!

The National Honey Board has lots of great honey info, recipes, and more if you're interested.

My little guy is turning 1 very soon and I can't wait to introduce him to this all-natural sweet treat!  After age 1, pretty much anything goes right?  Well, within reason...obviously!

Happy Friday!
Have a great weekend! :)

Favorite Things Friday #2

I love peanut butter!  Do you?

I've tried lots of different peanut butter and this is by far my favorite.  Now, when I try those other brands, they just don't compare to Peanut Butter & Co!

Peanut Butter & Co is all natural and comes in 10 cool flavors to savor!

Smooth Operator
Crunch Time
Cinnamon Raisin Swirl
The Heat is On
White Chocolate Wonderful
Dark Chocolate Dreams
The Bee's Knees
Mighty Maple
Old Fashioned Smooth
Old Fashioned Crunchy

My everyday favs are Smooth Operator and Crunch Time, but the Dark Chocolate Dreams is great with sliced apples!

I'm not a vegetarian, at least not right now anyway, but it's good to know that their peanut butter is kosher, gluten-free and vegan (except for The Bee's Knees which is vegetarian).

They also sell Jams & Jellies, Nuts & Snack, and Baking Mixes!

But wait, there is more...In New York City, there is the Peanut Butter & Co Sandwich Shop!  I'm definitely stopping by next time I'm out and about in NYC!

It is a little on the pricey side probably because I usually buy mine at Fresh Market but I just saw it online at Walmart for about half the cost.  You can also order through their online shop.

Check it out and prepare to be amazed!

Favorite Things Friday #1

Happy Friday!!!

I'm finding it true that AB (after baby), the weekends are very similar to every other day.  Wake up about the same time, feedings/meals about the same time, naps about the same time, and same time to bed.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a routine but the occasional surprise is wonderful every now and then!

To wake up from the same ol' routine, I'm creating Favorite Things Friday!  So, here we go with the inaugural post and probably my most go-to item!

drum roll, please..

Fiber One Original

At only 60 calories per serving, I have it a few times a week, at least!

It's awesome in this oatmeal

and this Fiber One Pancake.

Some mornings, I load blueberries and raspberries in a bowl and top them with Fage 0% Greek Yogurt, Fiber One Original and a drizzle of honey or agave nectar.  Yum!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!
